Spinal Decompression Treatment in Las Vegas

Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression is a treatment option that helps gently stretch the spine. This helps to take pressure off of the discs and nerves in your back. During a Spinal Decompression treatment, you’ll lay on a special motorized table. The top half of the table remains fixed while the bottom half of the table slowly moves and is controlled by an advanced computer system.

We will set you up on the table with a harness around your pelvis and another around your trunk. You’ll be positioned either face-up or face-down on the table, which is computer controlled to help gently stretch and decompress your spine. Our practitioner controls the table using the connected computer, customizing the treatment to your specific needs.

As your spine is stretched it takes pressure off the spinal discs, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc. That negative space gives herniated and bulging disks space where they may retract. This helps take pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine and ultimately leading to less pain and discomfort. This can also help increase the movement of other nutrient-rich fluids, water, and oxygen into the disks to promote healing.

What Does Spinal Decompression Treat?

Spinal Decompression can be an extremely beneficial treatment option for a variety of reasons, including:

Herniated Discs

When the disc between your vertebrae are injured and bulging, it’s called a herniated disc. It can be hard to move because the pain makes you want to stay still usually because the delicate structures in your spine are being compressed like the sciatic nerve which can send pain down your leg. When you have a herniated disc, it is important to seek an evaluation and treatment as soon as possible while being careful not injure the area worse with activities. Our Integrative medical Team is well trained in identifying and treating herniated discs.

Degenerative disc disease is a condition that affects the discs in your spine. The discs can become weak and thin over time, which can lead to pain and other problems due to compressed nerves and other soft tissues.

Sciatica

Sciatica is when there is a pain in your lower back that sometimes extends down you buttocks, legs, and even your feet and toes. Sometimes this can happen when a person has a herniated disc, bulging discs, or degenerative disc disease.

Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is a condition that happens when the spinal canals become narrower due to arthritic build up of calcium which plugs the nerve holes and compresses the nerves.. This can cause problems like pain, numbness, and tingling as well as arm, hand leg and foot weakness. This is a serious condition that can usually be helped with spinal decompression with good results.

Does Spinal Decompression Hurt?

Spinal Decompression Therapy is generally a gentle and soothing treatment that is typically painless in most cases. Some patients with significant disc damage may experience minor temporary discomfort during their first few treatments. Most patients report they feel less pain, lighter and more flexible after treatment.
